Geography Student Council Conference (BuFaTa) 2018 in Hannover

The geography student council Hanover and GeoDACH e.V., the umbrella organization of geography students in the German-speaking region, have hosted this year’s winter edition of the biannual federal student council conference (BuFaTa) that took place from November 09-12 at the Leibniz University in Hanover.

The BuFaTa forms the core of university networking and advocacy for geography students. It is organized alternately by a local student council every six months and almost 100 students from 32 different universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland were welcomed at this year's Winter-BuFaTa in Hanover. The conference has once again revealed the importance of inter-university exchange between students within the same discipline. The participants were able to network with each other more closely and both the results from the working groups and the lively discussions at the general assembly underpinned the value of the conference.

This way we would like to sincerely thank all participants and most of all the helpers for their great support and commitment!
