WiGeoH-Salon: Sustainable Management and Energy Transition

The WiGeoH-Salon in the premises of the Institute for Economic and Cultural Geography has become an established event that is appreciated by students. When the alumni association of WiGeo Hannover invited to the eighth WiGeoH-Salon on 8 December 2021, it was nevertheless something special: After the WiGeoH-Salon had to be held online for the first time last summer and was cancelled completely in 2020 due to the pandemic, guests, students and association members finally met again in person for an informative exchange for all participants, sovereignly moderated by the WiGeoH chairman Dieter Behrendt.

For the first time, the WiGeoH Salon was dedicated to the professional field of "Sustainable Management and Energy Transition". Our alumni Janina Hümer from European Energy Hamburg GmbH and Alexander Bandmann from KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (Financial Services Hannover) reported very vividly and informatively about their everyday work. The students and graduates of economic geography in Hanover took the opportunity to ask our guests about application tips, required skills and individual experiences in this professional field in a relaxed atmosphere.

The next WiGeoH Salon could take place in May/June 2022, the professional field will be announced early on the WiGeoH website.
