In October, the 12th International Sustainability Conference (IST) took place online. The IST is the most important annual conference of the Sustainability Transitions Research Network and was digitally organized this year by Fraunhofer ISI in Karlsruhe. Sebastian Losacker presented his research at the conference with a paper presentation and a poster. In his presentation 'Does geography matter for the speed of green technology adoption? Insights from Chinese patent licensing data' he explained that proximity between innovators and adopters increases the speed of diffusion of green technologies, while in his poster 'Using patent licensing data to measure the diffusion of environmental innovations: Methodological considerations and exploratory data analysis' he delved deeper into patent licensing as an indicator for diffusion research.
