Throughout development, surface moisture significantly increased skin permeance. The effect was largest during early development and decreased towards maturity. Recovery time courses revealed that following moisture treatment of young fruit for 12 days, skin permeance continued to increase until about 14 days after terminating the moisture treatment.
For non russeted genotypes, the value of P ES was significantly related to the permeance determined on the same intact fruit P fruit . Close relationships were also found between the F fruit calculated from P ES determined on the same fruit and the measured F fruit .

The MXene membrane supported on anodic aluminum oxide AAO substrate shows excellent water permeance more than 1000 L m 2 h 1 bar 1 and favorable rejection rate over 90 for molecules with sizes larger than 2.5 nm. The water permeance through the MXene membrane is much higher than that of the most membranes with similar rejections.

A ZIF 7 nano filler that was synthesized in our lab was embedded into a designed polymer matrix at various loadings and the performance of the mixed matrix membranes was evaluated in terms of gas permeance and selectivity. Hybrid membranes with various loadings 20, 30 and 40 wt were developed and tested at room temperature by a custom made time lag equipment and a jump in selectivity was observed when compared with the pristine polymer.
