The Institute of Economic and Cultural Geography welcomes Steffen Christoph Bauerochse and Clara-Marie Mühlberger as research associates in the field of economic geography as of June 15, 2024.

After completing her studies in Business Administration (B.A.) and Economic Geography (M.A.), Clara-Marie Mühlberger is dedicated to research and pursuing a Ph.D. in the field of global environmental change and sustainable development at the Institute of Economic and Cultural Geography at Leibniz University Hannover since June 15, 2024. Her particular interest lies in "Transition Studies," in which she has already gained experience during her master's thesis and her work as a research assistant at the institute.

Steffen Bauerochse started working as a research associate in the working group of Prof. Ingo Liefner at the Institute of Economic and Cultural Geography at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) on June 15, 2024. He completed his studies in Geography (B.A.) and Economic Geography (M.A.) at LUH. In the project "Pathways to Sustainability Based on Advanced Frugal Innovation: Innovation Generation and Innovation Scaling under Resource Constraints" (AFRIN), he will be particularly responsible for cooperation with the Indian partners from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). The AFRIN project, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), investigates the emergence and spread of Advanced Frugal Innovations (AFI) in the southeast Indian province of Tamil Nadu and the Western Cape in South Africa.
