Elena Hubner and Angelina Göb presented their current research activities at the New Cultural Geography (NKG) conference on “The Power of the Planetary - Geographies of Transformation between Intervention and Reflection” in Münster.

In the session ‘The political spaces of the planetary – spatial thinking in the light of anthropocene and planetary crisis conditions’, Elena Hubner held a presentation entitled “Spaces of the planetary from the perspective of Whiteheadian process-philosophical thinking”. In addition to the theoretical discussion, Angelina Göb shared experiences from the transfer of her research projects in the slot: ‘Transformative Urban Development’, which are carried out at the Research Institute Social Cohesion RISC. The topic was “Cohesion in cooperation: transfer in/for transformation”. The content of Angelina Göb ‘s second talk in the Methods Panel ‘Storytelling and the Politics of Small and Other Stories’ focused on the presentation of the results of a survey on enforced cohesion entitled “The Myth of Power. Probation in Enforcement”.

At the Lower Saxony-wide symposium on neighbourhood development and community work. “How can we work together to strengthen social cohesion in our urban districts and neighbourhoods?” in Hamel Angelina Göb was invited to speak on the subject of “Social cohesion in / for democracy. Neighbourhoods – (con)figurations of cohesion”. In a follow-up workshop, she discussed with participants from the practical field the question: How can we promote and consolidate social cohesion in our neighbourhoods and through spatial and social planning?
