New scientific presentation: Regional Lead Markets for Environmental Innovation: What can we learn from Patent Licensing Data?

The Network of Early Career Researchers in Sustainability Transitions (NEST) organized the 5th "NEST Conference" in May 2020. The conference, which was originally scheduled to take place in Zurich, was conducted entirely online. Sebastian Losacker presented first results of his research on regional lead markets for environmental innovation under the title "Regional Lead Markets for Environmental Innovation: What can we learn from Patent Licensing Data". In his presentation he explained how license agreements for patents can be used as an indicator for measuring innovation diffusion processes. The NEST Conference is one of the most important events in research on sustainability transformations for young scholars. At the same time, this well-organized online conference demonstrated the potential for more inclusive and environmentally friendly exchange between researchers.
