The 25th "Standardisation and Innovation" conference organized by the European Academy for Standardisation (EURAS) and the 11th "International Conference on Standardisation and Innovation in Information Technology" took place from 6th to 9th September. The joint event was originally planned to be held in person and was changed to an online format at short notice. Lennart Schott and Dr. Kerstin J. Schaefer from the Institute of Economic and Cultural Geography participated in the conference. In the session "Standards Development", Lennart Schott presented the empirical results of the joint research work under the title "Latecomers in International ICT Standardization" and shed light on how company origin and experience can influence the acceptance of technical contributions in international standardization processes.
