"Actors, Institutions and Innovations Processes in New Path Creation - The Regional Emergence and Evolution of Wind Energy Technology in Germany" is the topic of the dissertation of Dipl.-Geogr. Jasper Wellbrock, which he successfully defended on 4 March 2021. Unfortunately, this economic geography disputation could also only take place online due to well-known circumstances. The doctoral committee consisted of Commission chair Prof. Dr. Benjamin Burkhard (Physical Geography, LUH), supervisor Prof. Dr. Rolf Sternberg and second examiner Prof. Dr. Tom Brökel (UiS Business School Stavanger, Norway). Mr Wellbrock's dissertation explains the spatio-temporal diffusion of wind energy technology in Germany based on path development theory and 40 qualitative interviews with people from companies in the (onshore) wind energy industry, from organisations (e.g. Chambers of Industry and Commerce), from research and educational institutions and from the political sector.
