Contributions to the new economic geography textbook "Schlüsselbegriffe der Wirtschaftsgeographie"

Peter Dirksmeier, Christian Hundt and Rolf Sternberg have contributed two articles to the new economic geography textbook "Schlüsselbegriffe der Wirtschaftsgeographie" published by Lech Suwala (Humboldt-University, Berlin), published by utb.

In the contribution "Entrepreneurship in a spatial perspective" (chap. 9), jointly written by Rolf Sternberg and Christian Hundt, the authors, in addition to a definition of the term that is particularly important for this topic, deal above all with the causes and regional economic effects of "entrepreneurship" and discuss theoretical concepts, empirical findings and economic policy implications in this context.

The contribution “Culture” (Chapter 25) by Peter Dirksmeier rounds off the anthology. In addition to a derivation of the word culture and an account of the role of cultural semantics in human geography and other social sciences, the essay concludes with a discussion of the challenges that cultural semantics holds for economic geography.
