Professor Simona Iammarino from the London School of Economic was our guest of the 41st International Seminar in Economic Geography (ISEG) between July 5 and 9. Her seminar was entitled “Multinationals , globalization and regional inequalities” and Simona Iammarino provided five lectures covering a broad range of topics including, for example, the impact of multinationals on local economic development or the global inequalities multinationals cause. The seminar was attended by 24 students. Especially the high quality of students’ work and the inspiring lectures by Simona Iammarino made the 41st ISEG to an exciting event although it was held as an virtual seminar due to the ongoing pandemic. The institute would like to thank all participants and especially Simona Iammarino for her inspiring lectures and thoughts.
